The Swordfish (Xiphias gladius) is a species of pelagic fish from tropical and temperate seas, the only representative of the family Xiphiidae. It can exceed 2 m long and weigh more than 110 kg. It has a long “beak” (the rostrum) rather flattened which represents one-third of the total length of the animal. Swordfish feed on squid and fish. It can reach 90 km / h (23.9 m / s) in top speed.
